Nyx’s story started in a landfill. It was late February 2026 and minus 30 weather.
She was only about eight weeks old when some kind people found her there—small, scared, and completely out of place. They picked her up, made sure she was safe, and started asking around to see if anyone could give her a home. That’s how she found her family.
Her soon-to-be dad saw her, and a few hours later, Nyx was tucked into a box, riding in an Uber, on her way to a place she didn’t know yet—but one that would become her forever home. The first few days weren’t easy. She was nervous and unsure, watching everything from a distance. New smells, new sounds, new people—it was a lot for such a tiny kitten. But she was safe, even if she didn’t fully understand it yet.
Slowly, she started to come out of her shell.
She began exploring a little more each day. She learned that hands could be gentle, that food would always come, that she didn’t have to be afraid all the time. Trust didn’t happen overnight, but it came—bit by bit. Now, just over two months later, Nyx is a completely different kitten.
She runs on the cat wheel, loves to sleep on her hammock and is obsessed with tube treats! She’s a total mama’s girl, always happiest curled up in her mama’s arms, soaking up as much love as she can. She loves to play with her Daddy. She snuggles with her big brother, Lynx, like she’s known him forever, and is trying her very best to win over her big sister, Kitty Mojito—still working on it but determined.
Nyx is now learning to wear a harness so that she can go on adventures. She’s curious, playful, and full of personality.
From a landfill to a loving home, Nyx’s world is now filled with endless love!
